"On January 13, 2023, police found the dismembered body of 79-year-old David Sloan in a building on the 800 block of South 2nd Street in Old Louisville. Sloan’s former partner, Jeremiah Bowman, was arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. In January 2025, he accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to five years in prison. I found out about this because it’s a block from my work and I pass by it every day."
