Pressed Flower in recycled frame by Ada Asenjo!

8" x 10"

“I have grown up picking and pressing flowers, always admiring the incredible beauty contained within each. Often, however, they are taken for granted and discarded when they are past their prime. Imagine this gorgeousness spent on something so temporary! To me, this confirms the potential we all possess for limitless possibilities. It is consoling that this beauty that the soul longs for is provided in such outrageous bounty. Our fast-paced lives lead us to sometimes overlook what is set before us. The frenetic pace of our society impinges on our spiritual, emotional, and psychological development. My self-determined goal as an artist is to make people stop, notice and absorb the details of the natural world. I want people to be mindful of the complexity and mystery of Life. I would love for people to experience unexpected moments of beauty in their observations.” - Ada Asenjo

Ada first came into Revelry in 2014 with a group of her precious pressed flower cards and we immediately fell in love. She has gradually expanded her love of pressed flowers into tea towels, T-shirts and has also participated in multiple group shows. We can’t wait to see what she will make next!
