Bobby Hinkel - Gold Rush

"I’m a self-taught artist who focuses on using discarded materials to create works of art.  In this piece entitled “Gold Rush“ I repurposed discarded construction shims found at a local job site. A shim is a tapered wedge used for making slight adjustments to home elements, such as door frames and windows, to make them plumb and level.  One person’s waste is another person’s treasure"
