Artists Inquiries
Are you a local artist? We'd love to hear from you. All art submissions can be filled out via our submission form — but first, here are some frequently asked questions (and answers) about Revelry’s submission process:
What types of art does Revelry sell?
We primarily sell handmade gifts, jewelry, home goods and fine art (no photography please). Check us out on social media or stop by the store in person to see if your product would be a good fit. We have limited space, so large artwork, including sculptures, are difficult for us to accept.
Are you already selling anywhere else nearby?
We keep a watchful eye to make sure we're always carrying unique items. Part of our mission at Revelry is to carry a unique array of artwork and handmade goods that represent our local arts community. We ask that artists who sell with us do not sell in other Nulu neighborhood shops, so we can keep our store feeling fresh and special.
How do I get solo show at Revelry?
We book our gallery shows about a year in advance, and we typically book artists who we have represented in our boutique first. That said, you can submit your work for future consideration to our info email!
How we pay our artists when their work sells?
We are a consignment based gallery. We cut artist checks each month that reflect the previous months’ sales, which can be picked up or mailed to the artist. We do not purchase art for resale.
What is the Revelry Artist Alley market, and how can I become a one-time vendor for this event?
The Artist Alley is our daytime vendor-style market held during each of NuLu's major festivals. The quick guide for that is linked here, and it goes over the separate application process and guidelines to vend at this event.
What is the NuLu Night Market, and how can I become a one-time vendor for this event?
The NuLu Night Market is our twilight vendor-style market held during each NuLu Nights Neighborhood activations! The quick guide for that is linked here, and it goes over the separate application process and guidelines to vend at this event.
What is Tiny Art, Big Heart, and how can I submit a piece for this show?
This is our annual open-call valentine's art show! The quick guide for that is linked here, and goes over the requirements for submissions to this one-time show.
Ready to Submit?
Customers are our top priority, so we do not accept in-store submissions or walk-ins.
When submitting, please include images of your work or products, retail price points, and any other information you’d like us to know about what you make (process, media, etc.)
We try to bring in small bodies of work for each artist, rather than individual pieces. For the strongest submissions, please show us a cohesive body of work of at least 3 pieces that demonstrates your unique artistic voice.
- At Revelry, we require all artists to be regionally active in Kentucky. If you are an out-of-state artist, we will not be able to proceed with consignment.
- We will not accept AI-Generated Artwork. Our mission at Revelry is to provide our local community with a wide array of handmade artwork, fine art, and quality goods.
- We receive hundreds of submissions a year, and as a small boutique + gallery, we choose to carry what sells well and fits best with our shop's curation.
- If we choose not to carry your work, please know that it is not a reflection of its value, but simply a decision of what is best for our business. We will also offer alternative opportunities to stay connected and active at Revelry.
All art submissions can be filled out via our submission form!
