Collage Art, 16.5" x 23.4", by Goitoom Gebru
"In 'Resilience', I pay tribute to the unwavering strength of mothers enduring hardship during challenging time in Tigray. The artwork draws inspiration from a voice message received after a year of separation from my mom and grandma, the war in Tigray. The image depicts women dressed in traditional white clothing worn during celebrations, walking forward united. through a collage technique, gluing small pieces of paper from various magazines, I seek to convey the collective spirit of faith, hope, and resilience that echoes in the hearts of every Tigrayan woman" -Goitoom Gebru
