Grubbles Flowers, framed painting, 12" x 15" by Harrison Fogle.
Flora and Fauna is a collection of different characters that are brought to life by Fogle's use of acrylics, watercolors, and resin. Fogle has always been intrigued by the idea of life coming from nature and the personification of plants and animals to communicate human emotions. Taking inspiration from the dynamic and vibrant season of Fall, the artist imbues leaves, seedlings and thicket with personality and whimsy. His work is highly influenced by film and television such as Lord of the Rings, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko’s Modern Life, and Audrey 2 from Little Shop of Horrors.
Each creature has a story to tell, and the artist created each piece with the intention of capturing the viewer’s imagination and connecting with them. To Fogle, this creative interchange between piece and viewer is where his characters really come alive, made even more dimensional by the storylines people create in their own minds. The personal connection people strike with the characters is what the artist is most interested in achieving with his work.
