MANIFESTO by Julio Cesar

MANIFESTO emerges as a declaration through drawing. It is not a manifesto understood as a set of rules or principles, but rather as a need to speak, to make visible what often remains unspoken.

Several of these drawings remained hidden for six years, kept away from view. They grew one by one, in silence, accumulating emotions, experiences, moments, and a part of me that had not yet been revealed.

Each drawing becomes its own voice, a trace of accumulated thoughts, emotions, doubts, and experiences. The line becomes a language; the paper, a space of freedom where there are no definitive answers, but rather questions, contradictions, and possibilities.

Each line was born at a different time, but they all share something: they were created without ever thinking about when they would be seen.

Today, I am showing them for the first time. I am allowing them to leave the intimate space where they remained for so long, as the face of an attempt and as a reflection that does not lie.

Because creating from the shadows, is also a way to illuminating the world.
