Embroidery is a creative outlet that calms me and is almost meditative. Hand embroidery is a delicate enough process on its own, but doing so on a paper map was a steep learning curve. As for the content of the piece, there is a whole world to explore during our one life, and we can’t take this gift for granted. Our dancing woman is the carefree, joyful spirit we should embrace through each phase of our life. Life is fluid like the dancing, but it is still one woman, one life, letting a musical rhythm guide her way.
