Justin Trevor Inkwell is a self-taught artist from rural Kentucky. His style leans toward imaginative contemporary realism, taking inspiration from all time periods and styles - though he has a particular love for neoclassical painting, Golden Age American illustration, and 80's sci-fi book covers. The thematic connect of his work changes with his season of life and whatever philosophical questions haunt him presently. The series on view is titled "Marks and Moments," playing into themes of nostalgia, personal and collective memory, the technology used to capture our fleeting moments, and how that media shapes our response to the passage of time.
